Adjacent to the Glenwood Drive-In in Hamden, Connecticut sits Kelly’s Kone Konnection, a hidden treasure of frozen treats served with care and devotion by its courteous and creative staff including the proprietor Kelly Stone. Kelly’s Kone Konnection began in 1985 as an addition to top off the tasty meals of it’s neighbor, owned and operated by the Stone family.

Kelly’s Kone Konnection is best known for its divinely authentic homemade ice cream and hot fudge. The shop features artistic and creative ice cream cakes in all flavors from your basic vanilla to custom made ginger or mouth watering double chocolate and styles for any occasion from kids cakes to sweet sixteen birthdays to weddings.

Kelly annually attends ice cream seminars and conventions worldwide in order to serve the latest flavors to her customers. Kelly is always up-to-date on all the latest ice cream trends, since she travels quite a bit. In January 2002, she ventured over to Italy on a gelato tour, including the International Convention of Gelato. There she visited several quaint gelaterrias. Currently, Kelly does not make gelato, but has an enthusiastic affection for it.

Kelly’s Alma Mater is Ice Cream University where she received her degree, Ice Cream Cum Laude in March 2003. She has been a board member of NEICRA (New England Ice Cream Retailers Association) since 1993, during which time she served as President of the Association in 2002. Kelly has also participated on the board of NICRA (National Ice Cream Retailers Association).

Kelly is active in her community. She donates ice cream to worthy causes, with a strong emphasis on children.
